I weep for those in pain.
I mourn for those with loss.
I fight for those without a voice.
I celebrate for those that feel joy.
I rejoice with the world at the birth of a new day.

Let us come together,
and celebrate
my birth,

The day that I became
one with the population,
the anniversary of my being.

I am no wiser
because of this benchmark
on the calendar.

The only wish that comes true,
as I blow out my candles
is that I get to eat cake.
