A lost feeling

Eyes closed, just for a moment

it feels like slipping into the past

time-traveling in my living room

Advert my eyes from what is

and float back into that feeling

where optimism & hope live

The silence is beautiful, I miss it

every time I find it & I remember

the feeling of being alone & happy

Submerged in a pool of reminiscing

thoughts tend bubble to the surface 

memories of self bursting in the air

Alone, I am
Silence bares down upon me
Beautiful sounds of my own breath
When not thinking
I am at peace
Just me, with me, only me
I am happy alone

"My prince"

My prince had come to me.
He shows me love with every smile,
  every stolen glance.
He teaches me to love better.
We dance through every day in 
  caring admiration and adoring respect.
My prince takes me to the heavens 
  with every kiss.
When I am sad, he slays all of my dragons.
I never need to worry because he
  guides us through the darkest forest.
I am so thankful that I was patient and waited
  until my prince came to me.

A new year means new joys.
Another 365 days to enjoy your life.
A new year for new idea,
  new mistakes and new lessons learned.

Remember the lessons, but 

  forget the mistakes.
